Probably a few of the visitors hitting this site might have had a look at the gallery section, as well. Right now, one of the pictures there has been honoured in a rather unexpected way: “abandoned” will serve as cover illustration for “tullacanna”, an interesting, very moody, instrumental piece of music by markovich/a.m.p.. This is, though, not the only one but just another good reason to check out the music of markovich/a.m.p. which is both CreativeCommons-licensed and, in a certain way, one of the better CC music projects I’ve listened to, so far: Browsing the CreativeCommons music archives or listening to a lot of the stuff released by netlabels like Thinner, there’s just a vast bunch of good, modern electronic dance music to be found. This is cool, but that’s not what you probably want, all the time. From that point of view, the music of Markovich/A.M.P. is interesting because it’s not just limited to electronic instruments and effects, because it features guitars and strings and even vocals and because it simply seems to be inspired music which I’d put next to bands like Airlock. I like it.
