Well, what have we here? A series of tutorial to include not just one but even two buzzwords of nowadays IT world? Now this has just to be absolutely amazing. 😉

Seriously: IBM DeveloperWorks once in a while features some good tutorials, and currently there’s a tutorial series on how to access SOAP-based web services using AJAX technology, an idea that somehow seems reasonable given that web services are quite a good, portable way of offering certain functionality on a server and AJAX also basically is “just” programming capable of calling things on the server, so why not a web service? Part one of the tutorial, published already back in 10/05, creates a simple framework of building a JavaScript-based SOAP client for use with AJAX, while part two is extending the whole mess to support WS-Adressing. Let’s see what will come up next; sometimes there’s just not enough time to learn all that seems interesting…
